Finished in Fabric was started in 2001, when partners Mark and Susan Bijleveld relocated their existing drapery and upholstery workroom from The Hague, Netherlands to Connecticut. Soon thereafter they began collaborating with interior designer, Samuel Botero, and other leading designers in Manhattan and Connecticut. Trained in the "Old World" European style of upholstery, Finished in Fabric specializes in antique upholstery, while also lending this specialization to replications. The company's versatile workroom creates fabric wall upholstery, bedding and throw pillows, and this, combined with complete drapery and furniture upholstery services, allows Finished in Fabric to assist designers and clients in all facets of interior design projects.
